AirWatch Recognized as Top Player in Mobile Device Management Market

The AirWatch (News - Alert) Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution delivers Mobile Application Management (MAM), Mobile Content Management (MCM), Mobile E-mail Management (MEM) and BYOD management.
“We received top placement in The Radicati Group’s 2012 MDM Market Quadrant due to our market share, product innovation and product flexibility,” Victor Cooper, global public relations manager told TMCnet in an exclusive interview.
The AirWatch solution was evaluated on criteria including standard MDM capabilities like remote device wipe, hardware control, password enforcement and location services. Additionally, features such as app wrapping or containerization, enterprise app store capabilities, customer support, helpdesk automation and flexible deployment options were measured.
“This placement recognizes our ability to grow and scale with businesses, our multiple deployment methods and having the most comprehensive capabilities when it comes to managing mobile applications, devices and content. Additionally, AirWatch possesses the ability to tailor our MDM, MAM and MCM solutions to each companies’ unique business needs,” Cooper continued.
With 900 employees and more than 300 dedicated to R&D, the company is recognized for employing the largest team of developers of any pure-play MDM provider. The Radicati Group gave AirWatch high ratings based on integration with enterprise systems such as an Active Directory synchronization tool, AirWatch’s Software Developer Kit for integrating enhanced security and management features into custom enterprise apps, and the Secure Content Locker that integrates with Microsoft (News
- Alert) SharePoint and network file shares.
Looking ahead to the New Year, AirWatch is looking beyond the device and continuing to establish its strategic technology partnerships.
