IDC's Nicholas McQuire to Present Keynotes on Enterprise Mobile Management at AirWatch Connect 2013
February 19, 2013
With mobile devices and applications flooding the market, mobile device management (MDM) and mobile security management (MSM) are becoming more important to the enterprise. By optimizing the functionality of mobile devices while managing the data and configuration settings for all devices in a network, support costs and business security risks are lowered. Today, the market is making a shift from making extensive investments in the infrastructure toward cloud-based approaches, which now provides the flexibility businesses need in order to determine how to manage and support mobility.
For mobile security and enterprise mobile management provider AiresWatch, mobility is a key enabler of its customers because it provides opportunities to be more efficient and productive. With the buzz surrounding enterprise mobility, AirWatch (News - Alert) will be hosting its second annual AirWatch Connect 2013 to enable attendees to discover product innovations, stay on top of enterprise mobility trends, learn best practices and ensure they are making a smart mobile investment.
"We've experienced rapid adoption with multinational corporations and recognize each of their operating regions faces a different set of regulatory and mobility requirements," explained John Marshall (News - Alert), president and AirWatch CEO. "Organizations experience complex challenges when deploying and supporting mobile devices with existing IT resources.”
During Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) in Barcelona on Feb. 25, 2013, AirWatch will present sessions that are open to the public in hall 3, booth #3B34. Nicholas McQuire, vice president of mobile enterprise strategies at IDC (News - Alert), will present two keynote sessions on enterprise mobility during AirWatch Connect 2013 at Mobile World Congress.
“McQuire's session will highlight best practices and review the capabilities managed service partners provide to augment and streamline effective roll outs and ongoing support to help companies with their mobility strategies,” said Marshall.
He will address managed services for enterprise mobility during a keynote session on Monday, February 25, from 10:30 - 11:25 a.m. CET, which is open to all Mobile World Congress attendees. Additionally, the Wednesday session from 11 - 11:30 a.m. CET, open to Connect registrants, will focus on the next generation of enterprise mobility in the cloud.
McQuire said, "IT departments are increasingly turning toward managed services to help them balance end-user demands for mobility with security requirements, integration with existing resources and maintenance."
